HURTADO MONTERO, Geneva et al. Bibliometric Analysis of Publications about the Nursing Care Process in the Period 2015-2020. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2022, vol.38, n.1 Epub 22-Abr-2022. ISSN 1561-2961.
Introduction:
The nursing care process has been approached by different authors from their perception, taking into account different types of studies that evidence the scientific production of nursing professionals regarding this subject.
Objective:
To characterize the scientific publications on the nursing care process in the period 2015-2020.
Methods:
A descriptive, retrospective and bibliometric study was conducted on the scientific production on the Nursing Care Process in journals indexed in SciELO, BDENF, IBECS, LILACS and MEDLINE.
Results:
Of the 175 articles reviewed, only 26 (14.85 %) met the inclusion criteria stated for the study. The year with the highest scientific productivity was 2017. With respect to the number of authors per article, the category of three to six authors was the most frequent (80.77 %). There was a predominance of original articles with 61.53 %, followed by reviews with 23.07 % and case presentations with 15.38 %. All articles were subsequently cited by other authors.
Conclusions:
Scientific publications on the nursing care process were characterized according to production indicators, as well as visibility and impact indicators, with a predominance of original articles, which were referenced in other scientific articles. There are few publications dealing with theoretical, methodological and clinical practice aspects related to the nursing care process.
