Abstract

A descriptive study was a carried out in four different age groups: 20, 40, 60, and 70 years old, in the health area belonging to the "Lawton" Teaching Policlinic, in order to determine how the stereotypes towards the older people are formulated. The adjective scale was the assessing instrument built for the ocassion. The most positive stereotype towards the elder was demonstrated by individuals 40 years of age, followed in decreasing order, by the 70, 20, and 60 years old groups.
