Abstract

CUESTA MEJIAS, Leonardo A  and  PRESNO LABRADOR, Clarivel. Historia clínica en el consultorio: Una necesidad. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 1997, vol.13, n.4, pp.364-368. ISSN 0864-2125.

The adventages an disadventages of the standing model of individual medical history for primary health care in our country are analyzed. Tens of opinions obtained troughout the country and the experience accumulated by the authors for more than 11 years working as family physicians were taken into account. It is concluded that it is not convenient the use of ambulatory individual medical histories at the primary health care level in our environment. As in the ministerial methodological instructions it is indicated to keep these histories at the physician's office whenever it is possible, and an important group of family physicians do not understand it very well, we consider as necessary the development of this paper, which may be used as a theoretical foundation of this indication.

Keywords : MEDICAL RECORDS; PRIMARY HEALTH CARE; AMBULATORY CARE; PHYSICIANS, FAMILY.
