In order to deepen into the study of intrafamily violence and to know it and face it better in the health area, it was conducted a descriptive study of the results obtained through the application of a projective test called «What I don’t like about my family» and an interview made to 147 5th and 6th grade children from the «Robert Poland» School in the «Antonio Maceo» District, Cerro municipality. The variaties of intrafamily violence were classified and grouped according to frequency. The prevalence of intrafamily violence was also calculated and the possible relationship existing between violence and the ingestion of alcoholic beverages was explored. According to the results it was concluded that intrafamily violence is a health problem and that it is associated with drinking
