MEDINA LORENTE, Gertrudis M. et al. Satisfacción de la población con el médico de la familia. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 1998, vol.14, n.6, pp.571-580. ISSN 0864-2125.
The objective of this paper is to evaluate the satisfaction degree of the population with the services rendered by the family physicians office. A descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted by using a systematic sampling of 285 adults from El Valle, Manopla and La Unión Peoples Councils, where a quantionnary including a group of variables associated with patient satisfaction was applied. The information was processed by the epiinfo program and presented in Harvard Graphic. Werd Perfect 5.01 was used as a text processor. It was found that more than 80 % of the population was satisfied with the services of the family physician, Females in general felt more satisfied, since age and educational level do not influence on the results. The permanence of the physician at his office is closely related to satisfaction. Disease was the first cause to visit the physician. As the satisfaction degree increases, the populations criteria about the family physician are better and people see him more frequently
