Summary: A descriptive study of the family, and specifically of its first stage of evolution, was conducted. 11 members of the 26 couples included in the family universe being formed in the Basic Working Group where the author belongs were surveyed. Bibliography on this topic is still limited and, therefore, we consider necessary in order to promote health to identify which events the family really considers as conflicts in the stage of development where they are, how they react to these events, and the experiences they get on playing their roles in this group in order to take comprehensive actions that allows us to prepare our families for a transit throug its vital cycles with as many negative consequences as possible. A better knowledge of what happens in the families from their origins will enable us to take educative actions that may be useful for the young people next to get married, giving them resources to face successfully the transitory family crises in such an important stage of their lives as individuals and as a family. This paper is aimed at starting the investigation of the multiple variables influencing on the dynamics of the family under formation. Our results stress the necessity of having general information about the family and communicating with it.
