GRONING ROQUE, Ernesto; RUIZ GONZALEZ, Marlen  y  PEREZ PINERO, Julia. Estudio exploratorio de farmacovigilancia en el personal médico. Rev Cubana Med Gen Integr [online]. 2000, vol.16, n.2, pp.111-117. ISSN 0864-2125.

Drug surveillance is a procedure that depends greatly on the doctor with the objective of determining the possible causes of the poor notification of the adverse reactions of drugs (ARD) in our environment. An anonymous survey was done among 145 medical professionals from 17 different specialities. 68 worked at the primary care level (PCL) and 77 at the secondary care level (SCL). At the primary care level 40 % were specialists and 68 % residents, whereas at the secondary level 100 % were specialists. Significant differences were observed between the PCL and the SCL in most of the answeres given to the questions. The results allowed to conclude that doctors have experience and know about the adverse reactions of drugs but that the divulgation and the mechanism of modification should be improved in order to encourage doctors to report them.
