The prevalence of skin cancer in Villa Clara province during the period 1994-98 was determined, according to the reports collected at the Provincial direction of Health. The four-monthly rate was of 23.86 X 10 000 inhabitants. The provincial capital, Camajuaní and Santo Domingo were the territories with higher incidence. Skin cancer prevails among men, and more among men over 60 years of age. The compliance with the Cuban Cancer Control Program is emphasized.
