A study was carried out during the second half of the year 1997 at the policlinics "Mártires del 8 de abril" in the municipality Quemado de Güines, Villa Clara province, with the aim of contributing to the formation and education development of the family nurse and doctor as information users. The results of the survey applied to determine awareness and use of the information resources, show that the surveyed persons present difficulties on this respect. Thus, taking into consideration the importance of data processing as development production fuel, it is necessary to solve out the difficulties presented by health care professionals as data users.
