All the participants in the study answered the Beck’s depression questionnaire, which establishes 5 depression levels according to the answers. The results showed a high prevalence of depressive signs and symptoms in both groups, although the instutionalized aged had a greater frequency of moderate-severe depressive symptomatology, specially males.
