Summary The diagnosis of acute abdominal affections is complex and difficult for practitioners, but it is even more complicated when the diagnostic tools are limited, as it is the case of the family physician’s office at the primary health care level. That’s why, it is useful to have simple and effective methods that allow to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and that may be applied in this setting.
