A review is made on the finding of foreign bodies in the digestive system, its epidemiology, etiopathogeny and clinical manifestations, according to the type and localization of the foreign body in the gastrointestinal tract, the diagnosis and the possible complications and treatment. Emphasis is made on the frequency of these accidents.
