In order to determine the level of occupational morbidity with temporary disability according to organizative units, we used the information taken from the working records and from the scientific and medical records of 1 322 permanent workers with more than 8 years of work.at an oil refinery. The grouped sections and the organizative units were identified with the highest levels of morbidity, as well as with the most frequent causes of disability. The longer they had worked the higher the severity index was. This type of study provides useful information to the family physician giving attention at a working center.
