A descriptive study was conducted to know some of the elements related to sexuality in a group of patients aged 60 and over from 2 family physician offices of "Tula Aguilera"Community Teaching Polyclinic, in the municipality of Camagüey, from January 1st to March 31st, 2001. The sample was composed of 92 patients who particpated in a survey designed according to the criterion of the authors of the research. The results show that 19.6 % of the analyzed group present limited sexual activity due to an increase of age, sex and widowhood, and to the presence of some diseases having a negative influence on sexuality. It was concluded that there are other factors affecting the practice of sexual activity, such as the deterioration of the couple's relationship , the lack of privacy and the sexual dysfunctions.
