A case of furunculoid cutaneous myasis diagnosed at the Dermatology Service of "Comandante Faustino Pérez" University Hospital , in the city of Matanzas , is reported. The patient acquired this dermatosis in Costa Rica , but she developed the typical clinical picture in our country, where she received medical treatment. The characteristics of cutaneous myasis and of the agents producing it are described, as well as its geographical distribution and the therapeutic options to treat these cases. This paper has a special interest for the internationalist doctors that work in countries where these diseases are common.
