A cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted of cerebrovascular disease in patients from Artemisa municipality aimed mainly at medical-rehabilitation assistance of patients with this disease. Research was carried out from January, 2007 to December, 2008. Work performed by Municipal Rehabilitation Service with the follow-up of patients and health actions by areas. The 123 patients seen received different modalities of treatment in four wards of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. From the 56 patients visited by the specialist and classified according to modified Rankin scale, 39 of them were treated directly at home. The more frequent sequela is the motor take of left side of the body mainly in male patients.
