The pedagogical option for the analysis of the health situation which constitutes the methodologic sustrate for sociomedical sciences, are reported. The original design of the program was to disseminate the contents of health sciences in the curriculum from a problem-solving approach. The consistence of the training towards an hegemonic medical and clinical thought, the firmness of this thought in the staff and the obstacles of other kind non related directly to the teaching process have limited the performance of this design. A document which is part of an investigation conducted during 7 years and which is referred to the training model for the analysis of the health situation that has been used in pre- -and post graduate levels is presented.
