Some theoretical reflexions on the importance of communication are made to explain the formation of human subjectivity from a philosophycal point of view. Theoretical elements connected with the pedagogical communication as well as some evaluative reflections on the communicative characteristics frequently observed in the teaching process and that may have a negative influence on it are dealt with. The consequences and general suggestions for their improvement are also analyzed. Three difficulties for pedagogical communication are stressed: the rigid and authoritative management tyle prevailing in the educational institution, the authoritative communication style existing in the professor-student-group relationship, and the lack of communicative group interaction in the teaching process. Professors should have the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to propitiate a type of communication that favors education.
