Stages of curricular design are established. Authors examine througly base of curriculum and delimitation of graduate´s profile. In Cuban Medical University curriculum of the Medicine career is analysed specifically in its two first stages. Modifications are proposed according to experience and development acquired in health primary care as well as in education and medical practice in order to approach more the graduate´s profile to functions accomplished at present by basic general physician
