An analysis is made of some speeches of Fidel Castro Ruz that express some ideas characterizing the model of the General Comprehensive Medicine specialist and of the Family Physician. This paper was made by means of a guide to analyze the content of those written documents that used as a reference the model described in the training program of this specialist. The main result stresses clearly that the thinking of the Commander in Chief is the fundamental point of reference of the model described as an ideal for the professional graduated from General Comprehensive Medicine. It is recommended to go deep into the study and application of Fidels’s thought during the training process.
