The impact of an upgrading program for the health personnel on the care and approach of adolescents was evaluated at 2 health institutions in La Paz. The design corresponded to a pretest and posttest study. The results found in the posttest as regards the quality of care and the approach of adolescents at both institutions were higher among the professionals who took part in the upgrading program.
