Abstract

GONZALEZ DIAZ, Carlos. About a definition on Health Law. Educ Med Super [online]. 2005, vol.19, n.4. ISSN 0864-2141.

Law, a regulating element of all the human relations, is characterized in the health sector by the establishment of a series of interpersonal links that have propitiated the appearance of regulations, resolutions and laws characteristic of this system. However, there is no an agreement in the international sphere on the characteristics inherent to a branch of law focussed on the health topic, since the diversities in the conception and exercise of Medicine in the different social systems make difficult the uniformity of a doctrine on this regard. This paper presents an analysis on the topic and by assuming a defining position of these aspects according to the Cuban social reality proposes an arranging and definition - as a branch of Law - of the juridical material related to the topic of health in Cuba not only to make it known among the specialists, but also to introduce it in the teaching activities developed as part of the training of the personnel working in the health sector.

Keywords : Health Law; Medical Law; Sanitary Law.
