Abstract

In Cuban Program of General Physician Training, biomedical basic sciences education is carry out through the Human Morphophysiology as a discipline characterized by knowledge and abilities system integration of biomedical basic sciences. One of the problems challenged by this discipline is to confront with a young staff and most without teaching expertise to develop this subject. Considering this feature and the identification in our institution of a low academic performance in Human Morphophysiology as a subject, we developed the following review article allowing us to identify the possible causes from the teaching experiences of other teaching scenarios, and we proposed actions for change the present reality.
