Training and development of nursing professional is considered like a social and cultural event where the man is the result of a fitting process of historical experience. By means of Universality of Medical Sciences and the application of a new formative model of Nursing Bachelor from the 2003-2004 course, attempts are made to achieve a graduate performance, response of its behavior and of interpersonal relationships of health-disease process. The aim of present research was to design a model to develop the assistance as a nurse's essential quality. The study based on the Configuration Holistic Scientific Theory was conducted in Medical Sciences Faculty of Sancti Spíritus province including the eight provincial municipalities. We used the following methods: historical logical, functional structural systemic and the dialectical holistic one. Surveys and group interviews were made to students, managers and professors. As a result, we propose a model where are showed the configurations of nursing content, the integral general culture content, the assistance scientific training, the nursing assistance and research culture content, as well as the dimensions of training and scientific of model that in its dialectical interaction explain through the regularities of assistance behavior in training process.
