^les^aDesde el curso 2007-2008 se produjeron cambios para el aprendizaje de los contenidos de las ciencias que formaban parte de sus disciplinas básicas. La Anatomía, Histología, Embriología, Fisiología y Bioquímica en unieron en una disciplina académica, la Morfofisiología Humana. En este trabajo reflexionamos sobre algunos fundamentos teóricos que deben sustentar la integración de los contenidos de las ciencias básicas biomédicas en la disciplina Morfofisiología Humana. Para analizar la integración se partió de las funciones de la ciencia, extrapoladas a la disciplina, se tomó en consideración que para la integración se necesita analizar la disciplina desde un enfoque sistémico. A partir de estos fundamentos teóricos se pusieron ejemplos de diferentes sistemas los cuales se estudian en las asignaturas de Morfofisiología I, II, III y IV. Consideramos que, la integración de una disciplina tan amplia como la morfofisiología debe sustentarse en fuertes fundamentos teóricos que permitan comprender la relación estructura-función que se necesita para el estudio del cuerpo humano. La simple unión de contenido sin un basamento científico, no facilita el estudio de las esencialidades y complejidades de los diferentes sistemas como un todo único.^len^aSince 2007-2008 there has been changes in learning the contents of sciences which were part of the main disciplines. Anatomy, Histology, Embriology, Phisiology and Biochemestry were joined into one academic discipline; The Human Morphophisiology. In this work we reflect about some theoretical fundaments that must support the integration of the contents of the biomedical basic sciences in the Human Morphophisiology discipline. To analyze this integration, we began from the functions of the science bringing them into the discipline, and taking into consideration that for this integration, it was needed to analyze the discipline from a systemic approach. From this theoretical fundaments, were given examples of different systems which are studied in the subjects Morphophisiology I, II, III and IV. We think that the integration of such a wide discipline as Morphophisiology is, must be supported in solid theoretical fundaments which allow to understand the structure-function relation that is needed to study the human body; the simple joint of the contents without a scientific support does not facilitate the study of the essentialities and complexities of the different systems as a whole.
