POMARES BORY, Eduardo de Jesús et al. Appreciation of the Investment of a Class in the Subject Cells, Tissues and Tegumentary System. REMS [online]. 2025, vol.39 Epub 29-Ago-2025. ISSN 1561-2902.
Introduction:
Virtual learning environments offer the opportunity to develop new forms of educational intervention, but there is a need to analyze the effectiveness of the methods used.
Objective:
To analyze the students' appreciation of the investment of a class, carried out in the subject Cells, Tissues and Tegumentary System, during the 2023 course, at the Salvador Allende School of Medical Sciences.
Methods:
A descriptive research was carried out, with a mixed approach, based on a field study during the academic year 2023, at the “Salvador Allende” School of Medical Sciences. Theoretical methods used were analysis-synthesis, deduction-induction and systemic approach; empirical methods were the questionnaire; and statistical mathematical methods.
Results:
It was determined that the inversion of the class was appreciated as a successful teaching innovation, since both dimensions examined (conditions and opinions), were evaluated as satisfactory.
Conclusions:
The results of the research in relation to the inversion of a class of the subject Cells, Tissues and Tegumentary System, at the School of Medical Sciences “Salvador”, during the academic year 2023 unfolds a new path to continue advancing towards the improvement of the teaching-educational process, according to the needs of the times in which we live, from the perspective of new forms of didactic management of teaching-learning, through the possibilities offered by the Moodle platform to complement teaching in a face-to-face career. It is suggested to continue the departmental scientific-methodological work on this subject as a perspective to improve the functioning of virtual classrooms in the discipline Biological Bases of Medicine.
