Resumo

The methodological strategy used in the Program of  Residency of Hygiene and Epidemiology to guarantee the acquisition of knowledge and skills that allow to carry out evaluations  of the programs and services is described here. The contents coresponding to each course and the ways to teach them are also approached. Some of the evaluations performed  are mentioned and it is stressed that they not only lead to the development of abilities among students, but also in the service staff, since they take part in the whole process of investigation.
