Professionals and technicians in Medical Registries have made great efforts to solve the lack of space to include more medical histories. Many have been the solutions given to this problem. The present paper suggests to recover 75 % of the space occupied in the active archive by the documents originated in every hospitalization 2 years after the patient’s discharge and the creation of a passive archive in video disks.
