The article dealt with the biosafety education in Brazil. It displayed the different lines of this area of knowledge, their interconnections, peculiarities and factors that makes it attractive pedagogically speaking. As a basis for the quality of the educational process, this paper presented some reflections and suggested some competencies that should be developed in the process of full formation of professionals who are involved in biosafety courses
