In order to offer a way of communication that favors the exchange of information and experiences, the National Toxicology Center creates a form to collect the personal and professional data of Toxicology specialists and send it to those institutions in the country that have human resourses connected with this activity. The information gathered was entered in a data base supported on the ISIS 3.07 automated system aimed at making a National Directory of Related Professionals and Institutions. The first edition of this Directory was made by the Editorial Ciencias Médicas and includes data of 209 specialists. It has 5 parts: body, name, provinces, institution and working line or topics, wich are alphabetically ordered. This document is a working tool that may be used by those who devote themselves to this and other branches of medical sciences. This data base installed in the Telematics Health Network of Cuba (INFOMED) not only allows to know the personnel working in this discipline, but also to save products, labor force and electrical consumption, wich will benefit the country from the economic and social point of view.
