Abstract

The concepts of history, man and science are phylosophicaly focalized in order to justify their meaning in the context of the greater human discoveries from ancient times to the arouse of the Internet and the new technologies of information and communication. Attention is paid to the challenges the profesionals should face and also the possibility to add value to historical information. A factographic chart with facts and dates concerning 90 medical primes that took place from the second half of XVI century to the first half of XX century was presented to make evident the usefulness of factographic information as a tool to systematize some important aspects on the history of National Medical Sciences. With this chart, a source of reference for information professionals, that gather together some dispersed data from several publications of different epoch is available. This chart also facilitates the arrangement of a great amount of information in a reduced space on the most important medical events that took place for first time in Cuba.
