Abstract

A well delimited presence of the objective and subjective paradigms in the progress of scientific knowledge in Information Science is shown. The discipline and its object of study are analyzed from its conceptual dimension. The science-paradigm relation manifested in this sphere of knowledge is assessed, and it is established the scientific context of the time in which the influence of the above mentioned paradigms is ostensible.
