Abstract

The relations and differences among the data, information and knowledge notions are defined and approached.  The explicit and tacit knowledge are characterized, and their possible combinations, and the importance of the management of both types of knowledge for the organizational development are analysed. This is followed by an analysis of the theoretical-practical context in which the processes of knowledge identification and development take place. The organizational knowledge and its link with human resources, knowledge and human capital management, as well as the relations among them, are dealt with. Finally, the training processes oriented to the development of organizational knowledge are exposed, and these processes and their influence on organizational development are explained according to the points of view of various authors.
