In the context of the new information society, the development of international training programs carried out to bring up to date and to consolidate the know-how and abilities of the information professionals becomes imperative for the maintained improvement of its practical activity. An initiative in this direction is the “international training program on scientific and technological information management in universities and libraries” (STIMULATE), which is organized every year by universities of the Flemish community in Belgium . The experiences of the fifth edition of the program are described and exposed, as well as the appraisals of its participants
