Abstract

The application of the approach based on processes or process management in the information organizations is the most effective way to develop actions that meet the needs of both internal and external users. Likewise, it allows to identify and manage numerous interrelated processes, to analyze and follow coherently its development as a whole, as well as to obtain a continual improvement of the results by means of the eradication of errors and redundant processes in the different organization functions. The concepts of system, process, and information flow are approached, and their interrelation is studied. The importance of process management and its application in the information institutions are analyzed.
