Library and health science information centre users are characterized. The professional and personal competences library workers should have are mentioned, as well as those required to carry out studies on the formative and informative needs of the users are highlighted. The presented methodology is based theoretically on the Integral Methodology of determination and dynamic satisfaction of formation and information needs in organizations and communities (AMIGA). The use of certain methods and techniques to carry out the study is projected. A description is made of the methodological processes, and the variables to be considered while carrying out the study of such needs are defined.
