Abstract
HERNANDEZ QUINTANA, Ania R.. Dominant and emergent paradigms in Library and Information Sciences: continuity and rupture of informational dynamics. ACIMED [online]. 2007, vol.16, n.3. ISSN 1024-9435.
An overview is made of the most significant paradigms and theoretical approaches that allowed the transit from the information organization to knowledge, an epistemological mutation that culturally recomposes library and information science. The incidence of the physical paradigm is studied, as well as the contributions of the cognitive paradigm, and the capacity of the socio-cognitive approach to stablish itself as a matrix, placing this discipline among the postmodern concerns of social sciences, is defended.
