Scientific articles in the health field exponentially grow. That's why, the information synthesis and the review articles acquire a great value.  A study is made on the importance and need of the synthesis and review articles as way to facilitate the access to information.  The types of information synthesis and their readers are defined, as well as the types of review articles, the differences among them, and their parts and phases in their process of preparation, making emphasis on the phase of information synthesis
