An inventory of most of the Cuban literature on Endocrinology covering 1840 to 1959, which represents an approach to the whole bibliography on this subject produced in the island during this long period of time, was presented.  It is made up of a bibliographic section in which 150 references from articles published in a number of Cuban medical journals at that time are chronologically included according to the Vancouver style, and of an author section that lists in alphabetical order the undersigned of the papers in the bibliographic section.  This inventory also has a thematic section containing descriptors and qualifiers that alphabetically identify general and specific issues in each cited article.
