Abstract

RAMOS PEREZ, Lourdes; DOMINGUEZ LOVAINA, Junior; GAVILONDO MARINO, Xaily  and  FRESNO CHAVEZ, Caridad. Educative software, hypermedia or educative environment?. ACIMED [online]. 2008, vol.18, n.4. ISSN 1024-9435.

The concepts of educative software, hypermedia, multimedia and educative environment are defined aimed at establishing hypermedia as something more than a simple technological concept. Hypermedia serves as a support of a new educative philosophy, sustains with efficiency the teaching-learning proceses and allows to create an educative environment. The new organizational models that may be found in the so-called educative environments, e-learning platforms, are tools that favor and consolidate a teaching-learning setting, where knowledge is stored and it adequately shares one of the bases of the knowledge management system so necessary for all the organizations in order to develop an information, knowledge and learning society, in which education becomes an essential requirement for the whole life.

Keywords : Hypermedia; distance education; teaching-learning process.
