Resumen

Aiming to analyze and characterize the scientific production in Cuba as well as another Iberoamerican countries, the total production done by each country was determined in the PubMed database, as well as the percentage published in each national journal and in the English language. In the case of Cuba, a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the evolution was also done, also the nowadays state and the future perspectives of the scientific production in the stated database.
