Abstract
PEREZ MARTINEZ, Alina. Close up to the spreading of Cuban health in national journal web. ACIMED [online]. 2012, vol.23, n.1, pp.2-18. ISSN 1024-9435.
We have characterized the dissemination of health from the perspectives of digital journalism and specialized in selected cases of seven Cuban news web: Granma, Juventud Rebelde, Trabajadores, Bohemia, Mujeres, Alma Mater and Somos Jóvenes, which were published in the second half of April. We conducted a qualitative research by a description study of multiple cases using documentary research techniques and content analysis. It was found errors in content and in spelling scientific terms. Disclosure isolated language elements were found and most information was not properly contextualized. The use of sources was limited and they did not include scientific publications. The predominant genre was information. We had as result a limited use of interactivity and of hypertext and multimedia Internet resources. It was concluded that press coverage of health issues did not reach the level of expertise and it did not take advantage of the possibilities of digital journalism.
