The objective of the study was to determine the positive elements and difficulties of practicing educative activities, as well as possible solutions according to professionals of oral health, authors of this type of activity and community members.The design was observational and descriptive study. The study was performed at the primary care level, in the Health Clinic No. 38, from the West Area, in Camagüey Municipality within the period from September 1995 to February 1996. The subjects were divided into two study groups, the first one composed of 20 dentists that studied group dynamics, and the second one by 20 young adults of the community between 20 and 30 years old, selected by the simple randomised method. The following results were found: close relationship among both study groups and lack of motivation of the individual. Concluding, this study stimulated and made participants felt not inhibited, obtaining similar criteria independently to the professional level of instruction. The main topics were the neglecting of new technics that bring about boredom of activities, and the lacking of resources that hinders rehabilitation treatments. As positive aspects; it was focused on the learning possibility that this science offers as a promoter of disease prevention, keeping informed the community and improving interpersonal relationships.
