This work assesses the action of tinctures (30% and 80%) and dicoction of A. aspera on the viability and phenotypic expression of the fimbria P. in a smear of E.coli isolated of a pielonephritis case. Through the method of double dilutions it was proved a bactericide action of the extracts, non depending on alcohol. Dicoction did not affect the sensibility of E.coli. Both, either tinctures or dicoction caused the phenotypic inhibition "in vitro" of the fimbria P.
