Abstract

LIMA ALVAREZ, Magda; ZULUETA IZQUIERDO, María Mercedes  and  TRAVIESO GUTIERREZ, Yusimí. La atención estomatológica en los servicios de urgencia hospitalaria. AMC [online]. 1999, vol.3, n.2. ISSN 1025-0255.

The objective was to show the most common affections presented in the emergency hospital service of maxillofacial surgery, as well as the treatment to follow in each case. The index terms used were emergency, hospital emergency service, oral health, odontology . The methodological design was to deepen in the program of the subject by many reviewers. The higher incidence of hospital emergencies is focused on traumatic injuries, septic processes, bucofacial pains, temporomandibular Articulation disorders (TMA)., premalign and cancerous lesions among other affections. Concluding, traumatism and septic processes are the most frequent in the service and they should be taken into account for their adequate management.
