A descriptive, prospective study of pregnants with intrapartum risk was carried out at Ana Betancourt de Mora Gyneco ­ Obstetric Provincial Hospital in 1996 so as to know the relationship among intrapartum risk and some prenatal obstetric conditions. Clinical records were the source of dat, the applied was processed through MICROSTAT system, using porcentajes and test of proportion hypothesis, 176 pregnants were assessed according to risk calssification updated at national level, 74, 13% classified at level III and 23, 86% at level II 104, 1 % out of them were nulliparoes. 48, 86% were assessed with higth prenatal risk and weigth gaining was insufificient in most of studiet pregnants. Intrapartum risk conditons most frequent were the use of oxytocino and meconial fluid? at term pregnanctis with normoweight prevailed. We found depression at birth as neonatal morbidity. There were four fetal deaths and and early neonatal one? cervix laceration was found as maternal morbidity in 15, 90%.
