Abstract

A descriptive, cross-sectional and observational study was carried of clinical manifestations that 50 patients diagnosed with lupus ery thematosus Systemic presented during their evolution from January 1 st , 1982 to January 1 st , 1996 in the internal medicine service of Manuel Ascunce Domenech Provincial Hospital. The early more frequent manifestations were articulatory (70%), fever (45%) and cutaneous (30%) together with general symptomatology . Nephropathy ocurred in 50% of patients. In the biological manifestations, it is noteworthy that LE Cells presented with and incidences higher than other series. Antinuclear antibodies test could not be performed in two patiens.
