Abstract

MARTINEZ ALVAREZ, Mayra et al. Presentation of Caroli's Syndrome in an Infant. AMC [online]. 2000, vol.4, n.3. ISSN 1025-0255.

Caroli's disease is the non-obstructive congenital and segmental dilatation of the intrahepatic biliary passages, generally associated with other cystic malformations of the kidney and liver. Its diagnosis is established regularly in adolescence and in young adults. In this work, an eleven month infant with few clinical manifestations of the disease diagnosed through imaging, endoscopic and histological studies as Caroli's disease combined with congenital hepatic fibrosis and polycystic bilateral kidney is presented.
