With the aim of evolucting the effectiveness of the lasertherapy of HeNE in subprosthetic stomatitis, a phase II, open clinical eassy was carried out in the Provincial Teaching Dental Clinic of Camaguey during the period from Sept. 1998 to Sept 1999. After the aplication of the inclusion and exclusion criterio the sample was composed of 24 patients of both sexes and older than 15 years with diagnosis of S.S. The Laser-Med 101 MD of Cuban manufacture was used for the treatment using the local puntual technique of Barrido with antinflamatory parameter. The following five sessions in alternate days. The femenine sex prevailed and the majority of patients presented stage II S.S. The number of patients cured was significant at the end of the treatment (2, 339E-0, 3), no statistical association was found among the Smoking habit and the effectiveness of the treatment. Those patients who presented symptoms were asymptomatic at the end of the treatment of choice in the S.S.
