Resumen

An observational, descriptive and retrospective study was carried out during January to December 1998, in the Military hsopital of Camagüey, in order to know the surgical interventions of the existing services performed with Acupuntural Surgical Analgesia surgical acupunctural analgesia. of a total of tributary surgical interventions of surgical acupunctural analgesia, 357 were performed, representing the 74%. The most outstanding services in the aspect were: Ophtalmology with 274 tributaries and 257 performed with surgical analgesia representing a 94% of fulfilment and General Surgery, Surgical interventions most carried out and with best-results are: Cataract with 199 tributaries and performed representing the 100%, glaucoma with 54 tributaries, and the same figure performed with Surgical Acupunctural Analgesia for 100%, thyroidectomy with 15 and 14 performed representing the 93%. Out of the plan of primarily tributaries, 31 different types of surgical interventions were carried out these results demostrate that surgical acupunctural analgesia is applicable in tributary interventions according to the traditional and Natural Medicine program as well as the in other diseases out of the plan of tributaries.
